Does anyone even do this anymore? I personally think it is a little silly. What could you possiblly get your spouse that would possibly be better than getting married. Just seems like a waste of money.

We didn't do that either. I think it's a nice gesture and great if you have extra money. It just gives them a little extra something as a I'm glad were getting married. My friend and her husband did that.He bought her a necklace and she bought him a really nice watch.

You must be laughing at what I have done for this. My hubby and I went to shop for our engagement rings together. He bought mine and I bought his. How about other couples? I don't hope I am the odd woman out there.

It doesn't sound that weird. My hubby did go by himself and surprise me but I don't love my ring. Maybe you have the right idea. Wink

This is what we did too~ well actually we both just made payments on them when we could, so we bought them together.

I don't think it is necessary to do husband/wife gifts. We didn't.  We were just so happy to be getting married and celebrating with our friends and family, we didn't think about getting each other a gift.

I didn't even know you do this until I saw a show "The Wedding Story".  They were exchanging gifts.  Guess it's not all that common in my family.
Although I love gifts- so why not!   Cheesy

It will be an everlasting and memorable gifts if you would buy the engagement rings for each other though not necessary. It is the most significant and meaningful material possessions in a marriage and what's a better way to get it from each other.
