What are good gift ideas for your wedding party? Is there a normal standard?

I'm not sure about normal...but I've seen items that show up frequently in a few weddings I've been in. I think for the kids you can really do whatever personally. Whatever you do though..please don't give the bridal party cheap "junk". In one wedding I was in the bride and her mom picked out jewelry for us girls. However they wanted us to wear it for the wedding.I couldn't even bring myself to wear it.It was horrible.I tried it on the night before and was seeing how it looked. It was ok, intil I noticed something was already wrong with it.I ended up wearing other jewelry.I put it on while getting ready and the necklace broke. I told the bride later since I was of course the only one not wearing the necklaces we were suppose too. Men often get money clips, flask, and I've even seen gift cards given as thank yous to them.

I don't think it's a norms to give gift as a wedding party. However, over here, my relatives and friends usually give me their wedding photo as a gift.

I definitely think you are expected to give gifts. When my best friend got married she gave me a nice bag. it was like a travel bag it was pink and had my name engraved on it. That was 3 years ago and i still use it all the time.

How about cash? I think they would like it more! It does come in handy in a time like this.

I do think it is expected that you give the wedding party gifts.  I would not do cash.  I thiink something more personal.

Maybe for the girls some type of jewlery that they can all wear the day of the wedding.

The guys either key chains or beer mugs.

A great idea-- how about a day at the spa for the girls- You can take them out and get massages or pedicures or something relaxing.  My best friend did this for us- it was super.
The men got engraved beer mugs-- really nice ones.  I have also seen money clips for the men.
I do think it's expected- after all the people in the wedding paid a lot of money for their dress/tux, shoes, bridal parties, etc.

It is a great idea to have the girls all get together in plenty of time before the wedding for a massage or pedicure.  Who doesn't love a pedicure..and if they are wearing open toe shoes in the wedding, their feet will be pretty.
