How did you pick a song?
There are so many out there now you have quite the selection to choose from.

I think it's up to the bride to do this- and you don't have to pick the traditional ones either- it doesn't even have to mention dad in the song.  You pick a song that reminds you of your relationship, your dad, anything special to you.

I couldn't agree more. That's what I did.I spent all this time focusing on a song that was perfect and then my dad ended up not even showing. It worked out fine though because I had alot easier of a time picking one for me and my pap.I really don't know what I would've done without him.

Many brides already have a song that reminds them of their relationship with their father.  I don't think it should be any generic song picked by the DJ.  I agree that the bride should pick it.

I had two father-daughter dances (one with my dad and one with my step-dad). With my dad, I chose Butterfly Kisses. Pretty traditional, I think. But for my step-dad, I chose the House at Pooh Corner because it had special meaning and history. Nobody knew why I chose that song, except me, him, and my mom.
