Of course it should be my husband. In this case, gentlemen first.Aren't husband suppose to take care of everything including financial obligations? If not, why would I want to get into a marriage anyway.

We didn't get to go on a honeymoon. We plan to go at some point to Ireland. We couldn't afford it at the time.We paid for all our wedding expenses ourselves and I guess got married young compared to some people.Actually when we went to get our marriage liscense it was a month before my birthday and the lady at the desk goes oh, your so young.Suprinsgly we've been together for almost as long as my parents marriage lasted and were engaged for 2 years before even getting married.I would've loved to go on a honeymoon but when you don't have extra money and no one gives you money for a honeymoon you do what you have too.In our case it was wait intil years from now when we can save more money up and our daughter is older. It will make it more special then.At least I hope so.

Wow, thats really kind of sad that you have such old fashioned thinking. Sure, it's the traditional role of the husband to be a provider but now days its not always like that.Sometimes a woman is the main provider. It's more important who loves who and that bills get paid no matter who is the main provider of the family. If money is all that matters then you are married for the wrong reason. What's right for one family may not be right for another.

Hey lady! I don't hurt my hubby's ego. He would get hurt if I paid for them, thinking that he is unable to afford the basic necessities of a wedding event including a honeymoon. Well, if yours does mind, then I guess it is fine. You know, we have to take note of their feelings too. This is what I called love!

I paid for our honeymoon. My wife's father insisted on picking up the bill on almost everything else. I think he was having a hard time giving his little girl away.

We have another gentlemen here. You are just like my hubby. He's also insists on footing the bills for our honeymoon even though at times, I hope to chip in. As I know he can afford it, I didn't feel bad for him in paying the whole bill by himself.

My sister gave me a condo to stay in for a week as a wedding gift.  We used this for our honeymoon.

My other sister gave us airplane tickets to get to the condo as a wedding gift.

Everything else, my husband and I paid for together.  My money is his money and his money is my money.

I hope I can make the last statement true for me. In my case, my money is my money while his money is ours.
